冨嶽三十六景 江都駿河町三井見世略図|Mitsui Shop at Surugachō in Edo (Edo Surugachō Mitsui mise ryaku zu), from the series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji (Fugaku sanjūrokkei) is a 1831 ink by Katsushika Hokusai, a Japonisme work, depicting House, held at Metropolitan Museum of Art.
This print shows a busy rooftop scene with two men working on a steep, tiled roof. One climbs a ladder, while the other balances precariously, holding a tool. Below them, a small shop with a sign stands in the foreground, and a large, snow-capped mountain looms in the background. Kites fly in the sky, adding movement to the scene. The mountain in the distance is Mount Fuji, a famous landmark in Japan. The print captures daily life in Edo (now Tokyo), blending work, nature, and commerce.
