About this work

This sketch shows a giant, tangled plant with bulbous leaves and curling vines. The lines are loose and shaky, like a quick pencil drawing. Some parts look like flowers, but they’re stretched and wobbly, almost like they’re growing too fast. The artist played with scale—this "plant" is way bigger than real aphids. It’s part of a book of prints, so it’s drawn with a smooth, ink-based method. Next, check out lithography to see how this was made.
