This is a print by William Simpkins from the late 1700s. It shows a stage design for a play called The Haunted Tower. The print was published by a company called Longman, Clementi & Co. The play was performed at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London. Stephen Storace wrote the music for the show. This print gives us a look at how theaters staged shows back then.
