Σήμερον ο θάνατος του Τσακιτζή is a 1942 by Sotiris Spatharis, held at Metropolitan Organisation of Museums of Visual Arts of Thessaloniki – MOMus.
This drawing shows a man on his deathbed, wrapped in white, with a candle burning beside him. The artist used sharp lines to shade the face and hands, making the man look thin and tired. Spatharis often drew scenes like this for Greek shadow puppet theater. The man’s name means "the tailor." That’s a clue. Spatharis designed puppets and posters too. He worked with famous artists in Athens during the 1930s. It’s held at the Museum of Ethnography.
