Poikia rantakivillä is an unspecified by Verner Thomé, held at Finnish National Gallery.
This painting shows three girls sitting on a big rock by the water. Their dresses are plain and light-colored. The sea behind them is calm and blue. The artist painted it on cardboard with oils. The colors look soft and a little faded, like old photos. You can almost feel the warmth of the sun on the rock. The Museum of Ethnography has this work in their collection.
Verner Thomé (4 July 1878 – 1 June 1953) was a Finnish Post-Impressionist graphic artist. He was influenced by Vitalism a German-Scandinavian movement that incorporated Nietzsche's philosophy.
