About this work

John P. Thompson made a print portrait of Giuditta Pasta. It shows her as “Signora Pasta of the Théâtre Royal Italien at Paris.” Thompson worked in the early 1800s. The print started from a painting made for a magazine called La Belle Assemblee. Giuditta Pasta was a well-known opera singer at the time. Look up the Victoria and Albert Museum to see more of Thompson’s prints.
