Grandma's fairy tales is a 1867 oil by Vassily Maximov, a Realism work, held at Tretyakov Gallery.
This painting, titled "Grandma's Fairy Tales," shows a group of people gathered in a dimly lit room. The scene is set in a humble, rustic space with wooden walls and a low ceiling. The people are dressed in simple, traditional clothing, and they appear to be listening intently to an older woman who is speaking or telling a story.
