This sketch shows a stone bridge with three arches over a river. Behind it, a row of old buildings with sloped roofs sits on a hill. The brushstrokes are loose, leaving some shapes fuzzy, while others—like the bridge’s shadows—are darker. A small boat floats near the right bank, and bare trees line the riverbank. The artist signed it "M. Asselin" in the corner, but this is actually a photo, not a painting. The Seine River is the waterway shown here. Next, look up the Seine to see more views of this famous river.
