Sagot's Gallery

About this work

This print shows a busy street scene outside a print shop. A crowd of women in stylish dresses gathers around the windows. Some point at colorful posters inside. Lithography was changing in Paris then. Artists used it to make bold, cheap prints. Sagot’s shop was a hot spot for these new designs. Want to see more?
