Untitled is a 1911 by William Harvey, held at Victoria and Albert Museum.
This drawing shows a covered porch with two arched doorways and a half-dome ceiling. The walls are made of small, neat bricks, and the roof curves upward with a circular pattern. Above the doors, there’s a small balcony with decorative panels and a lattice window. The tiny details—like the carved brackets under the roof and the repeating brick shapes—make it feel precise. The label at the bottom reads *"Fan Vaulted Porch to a School, Jerusalem"*, hinting at a real place. Check out cross-hatching to see how artists build shadows with lines.
A drawing by William Harvey depicts a fan-vaulted porch at the Koran School in the Hara mesh-Sherif, Jerusalem. The work was published in *The Architectural Review* in 1911 and later in Martin S. Briggs' *Muhammadan Architecture in Egypt and Palestine* in 1924. An architectural study based on Harvey’s notes, including elevations, plans, sections, and a view of the porch, was created by John C. Rogers and is held in a collection as E.1264-1963.
