View of Gulf of Naples is a 1681 ink by Melchior Küsel, a Baroque work, held at National Gallery of Art.
This print shows a busy waterfront scene by the Gulf of Naples. Ships are docked on the left, with people loading or unloading goods. In the middle, a group works near a fountain, while on the right, a statue stands on a tall pedestal. Behind them, a grand building with columns and a tree with thick branches fill the background. The text at the bottom reads "Prospect desß Golfo zi Neapoliß," which means it’s a view of the Gulf of Naples. The artist used fine lines to create depth and detail, typical of etchings.
