Circular bas-relief white portrait bust on blue ground surrounded by a garland of foliage and fruit in enamelled terra cotta is a 1864 photographic by Louise Laffon, a Impressionism work, held at Victoria and Albert Museum.
A sepia-toned albumen photograph by Louise Laffon depicts a circular bas-relief white terra cotta portrait bust set against a blue ground, framed by an enamelled garland of foliage and fruit. The image is part of a series of 100 photographs documenting sculptures from the Campana Collection at the Musée Napoléon III. The Victoria and Albert Museum acquired 500 works from this series in 1864 through the agent Monsieur E. Cappe. Laffon’s photographs were originally mounted with gender-neutral stamps, obscuring her identity.
