This print shows two figures in a room with sliding doors. The person on the left is standing, wearing a striped robe and holding a fan. A small dog sits near their feet. The other person is kneeling, dressed in similar robes, with a table of flowers and a pot beside them. Outside the doors, trees and a bird are sketched in. The artist used ink lines to build up dark and light areas, creating depth without color. This style was common in Japanese woodblock prints of the time. Look up cross-hatching to see how artists use lines to make shadows.
