This black-and-white print shows a serious-looking man in fancy clothes. He’s wearing a ruffled collar, a heavy fur-lined robe, and a chain around his neck. His hands rest on a book or scroll, and above his head is a fancy crest with a crown and swirls. The words around the edges spell out his name and titles, like "Baron of Rye" and "Earl of Carlisle." The artist signed it in the corner, and the whole thing looks like it was carved into metal. Want to know more? Try looking up engraving.
