The painting was later acquired by Willem Lormier, remaining within his family through his daughter Henrica Cunera Lormier-van Olden and Nicolaas Cornelis Hasselaar.
Eventually, the piece joined the collection of Adriaan van der Hoop. Through this association, it became part of the holdings of the Amsterdam Museum and is currently located in the Rijksmuseum.
