Annunciation to the Shepherds is a 1599 ink by Jan Pietersz Saenredam, a Renaissance work, held at National Gallery of Art.
This engraving shows a busy night scene with angels flying above shepherds. The angels have wings and play instruments while floating in the sky. Below, two shepherds sit on a hillside, one holding a staff and the other pointing at the angels. Sheep are scattered around them, and the ground looks rocky with some bushes.
