castron is a 1809 by Unknown, a Romanticism work, depicting Flower, held at Romanian Peasant Museum.
This is a round, shallow dish with a simple design. The outside rim has a repeating pattern of small triangles and zigzags in black and brown. Inside, there’s a single painted decoration: a stylized flower with long, curved leaves in black and gold. The background is plain white, and the edges of the painting look slightly worn. The flower at the center looks like it might be a tulip, but it’s simplified into swirls and lines. The dish itself has a rough, earthy feel, like it was made to be used, not just looked at.
