About this work

This looks like a worn piece of paper with dark brown lines and dots covering most of it. There’s a faded, yellowed label taped on the left side with some handwritten notes and numbers. In the center, a faint outline of a shape—maybe a person or animal—is barely visible through the damage. The heavy stippling (tiny dots) gives it a textured, almost scratched look. The label suggests it might once have been part of a collection or study. Check out stippling to see how artists use dots to build up images.
