One scene of a wedding: the bride arriving at her new home is a 1880 paint by Unknown, a Impressionism work, depicting Pavilion, held at Victoria and Albert Museum.
This painting shows a busy courtyard scene with people dressed in colorful robes. A bride in white stands near a pavilion, while others gather around her. Bright lanterns hang above, and a red umbrella adds a pop of color near the left side. Trees and rocks fill the background, framing the action like a stage. The pavilion in the center looks like a decorated house, with windows and a tiled roof. It’s the heart of the scene, where the bride is being welcomed. The people around her seem excited, maybe celebrating her arrival. If you like this kind of detailed scene, check out the Victoria and Albert Museum.
The painting depicts a wedding scene in which the bride arrives at her new home, shown as a rectangular composition. Inside the house, figures are arranged in a sequence, with one holding a red lantern-like flag on the left and trees partially blocking the view on the right. Originally part of an album containing thirty-five processional scenes, it was purchased in 1898 and is now cataloged as D.2-1898 to D.36-1898.
