Toilette des enfants dans le Jardin is a 1910 ink by Suzanne Valadon, held at National Gallery of Art.
This sketch shows four kids outside under a tree. Two sit on the ground, one leaning on the other. The other two stand, reaching up to fill a bucket from a well. The lines are loose and quick, like a hurried sketch. The artist used drypoint, a technique where lines are scratched into a metal plate. This makes the marks sharp but soft at the same time.
