Stedelijk Museum Schiedam

The art collection is renowned for its strong holdings in the Cobra movement, featuring works by artists such as Karel Appel, Constant, and Corneille, alongside significant pieces by Lucebert. The collection strategy historically prioritized acquiring works from active movements, including informal art, abstract expressionism, and systematic geometric abstraction from the 1960s.

The historical collection comprises over 1,000 objects detailing the city's past, including specific utensils and artifacts related to local industry and daily life.
