Creation of Eve is a 1550 by Giulio Bonasone, held at Victoria and Albert Museum.
This print shows a muscular man standing over a sleeping figure on the ground. A third person, curled up nearby, watches them. The standing man points upward while holding a tool, and the sleeping figure’s body is relaxed but detailed. The scene is drawn in black and white, with strong lines shaping the bodies and clothes. The artist focused on the contrast between light and shadow to make the figures look three-dimensional. This was a common trick in prints of the time.
