This is a black-and-white portrait of a bearded man in a ruff collar and dark coat. He holds a folded paper in his right hand and rests his left arm on a ledge. Above his head, a fancy coat of arms sits between two cherubs, with scrolls on either side saying *"Totus Ang. Savari"* and *"Honoris D."* Small text around the edges lists his titles. The tiny lines and shading in the print create depth, showing wrinkles and fabric folds. This is an *engraving*, where the artist carved lines into metal to print the image. Next, look up engraving to see how artists like this made detailed prints.
