A Chinese figure on a hillside is a 5 by George Chinnery, a Romanticism work, held at Victoria and Albert Museum.
A drawing by George Chinnery depicts a Chinese man reclining on a hillside, with his queue extending along the ground behind him. The work is part of an album containing 93 sketches made in Macau and its vicinity, bequeathed in 1928 by James Orange. Chinnery, who lived in Macau from 1825 until his death in 1852, created this and other works in a community frequented by European and North American merchants trading with China.
