A Chinese vendor weighing his produce, and a sunshade is a 3 by George Chinnery, a Romanticism work, held at Victoria and Albert Museum.
A drawing by George Chinnery depicts a Chinese vendor holding measuring scales while a boatwoman bends over nearby, with baskets of vegetables arranged on the ground, and a parasol supported by wooden poles is also shown. The work is part of an album of 406 drawings made in Macau, Guangzhou, and Bengal, bequeathed in 1928 as part of a collection of 93 drawings by Chinnery. Born in London in 1774, Chinnery worked as a miniature portraitist before moving to India in 1802, later settling in Macau in 1825, where he remained until his death in 1852.
