About this work

This sketch shows a woman sitting in front of a mirror, drawing her own reflection. The lines are loose and quick, with some orange smudges on the page. Her body is turned slightly, but her face is drawn twice—once how she looks, and once how she sees herself. The drawing feels half-finished, like the artist was still figuring things out.
