Plan of the Rooms and Church of the Sacred Monastery (Pianta di parte della loggia e del sacro eremo) [plate K] is a 1612 ink by Jacopo Ligozzi, a Baroque work, held at National Gallery of Art.
This drawing shows a fortress-like building with thick walls and small windows. Inside, there are labeled rooms connected by narrow passages. The outer walls have a jagged, uneven shape, and the whole thing sits on a raised base with a moat-like space around it. The artist used fine lines and shading to show depth and texture, especially on the walls and roofs. This kind of drawing was often used to record real buildings in detail.
