This painting shows a narrow valley with steep rock walls on both sides. A small stream runs down the middle, leading up toward a waterfall. Trees and bushes grow on the rocks, and in the distance, a few buildings sit near the top of the ravine. The artist used soft, blended colors to show how light hits the rocks and water. The watercolor looks almost like a sketch, with some areas scratched away to make details pop. If you like this style, look up Romanticism next.
