This sketch shows two women outdoors. One wears a wide-brimmed straw hat with a red flower, holding a fan. The other has a white wig with curls and a dark cloak. Their faces are soft, but the lines are loose and quick. The artist used smudgy, sketchy strokes—almost like a quick drawing. The colors are muted except for the bright red flower and fan.
