About this work

This painting shows a simple white house with a dark roof tucked under a forested hill. The building has three windows on the upper floor, all dark inside, and a covered porch below with glass doors and climbing plants. The hill behind it is thick with green trees and rocky patches, giving the scene a quiet, hidden feel. The artist used soft watercolor strokes to blend the house and hill together, making the whole scene feel calm. The way light hits the roof and porch suggests it’s a bright day, but the trees cast shadows that keep things cozy.
