This engraving shows a serious-looking man in a long robe, his hands clasped in prayer. Behind him floats a glowing sunburst with the letters "IHS" and a cross. To the right, a crucifix leans against the wall, half-hidden. The text at the bottom calls him "Ignatius Loyola," founder of a religious group. His wrinkled face and rosary beads suggest deep faith and age. Want to learn more? Check out how engraving works.
