Dolores is a 1887 photographic by Unknown, a Impressionism work, held at Victoria and Albert Museum.
This photo shows a woman in a flowing white dress standing near a mirror. It’s black and white, with soft lighting that gives her a dreamy glow. The simple pose feels quiet and still. The photo was part of a fancy stage set in 1886. It was used in a ballet called *Dresdina* and later traveled to America. The dress and mirror hint at a world of theater and fantasy. If you like this, check out the Victoria and Albert Museum. They have more old photos and stage designs there.
A photograph documents an elaborate stage set designed for the ballet *Dresdina*, featuring decorative floral motifs and female figures, with chandeliers suspended at the center. At the rear, a curtained recess contains a four-step structure adorned with plates, topped by a large shell, and above it, a concealed platform holds a group of four seated and standing figures. The photograph, part of the Jacobi Collection, was later transferred to the London Archives of the Dance and subsequently to the Victoria and Albert Museum.
