About this work

This small panel is packed with bright, flat figures against blue and gold backgrounds. At the center, a robed man with a glowing halo stands inside a red circle, blessing the scene. Around him, smaller groups of figures—some kneeling, some standing—fill every section, all outlined in black with simple, bold colors. Notice how the figures are arranged in neat rows, like a puzzle. The faces are almost identical, with big eyes and serious expressions, which makes the whole scene feel orderly and calm. If you like this style, look up cross-hatching to see how artists build detail with lines.
