This is a long, narrow wooden panel covered in tiny, neat squares of text. The squares form rows of writing, like a grid of black ink on a light background. There are two small diamond-shaped marks near the center and right edge. The text looks like it’s from an old Buddhist scripture, written in a style used in Nepal. The wood shows some wear but still holds the words clearly. Check out The Cleveland Museum of Art to see this up close.
