Return of Queen Zabel of Armenia is a 1909 oil by Vardges Sureniants, a Post-Impressionism work, held at National Gallery of Armenia.
In this painting, a queen stands in the center, wearing a long black dress with gold accents and a white shawl. She has a crown on her head and holds a black object in her right hand. To her left, a woman in a white dress with a red shawl is reaching out to her. On the right side of the painting, a man in a brown robe is kneeling, and another man in a white robe is standing behind him, holding a shield and a spear. The background of the painting is a room with arched windows and a checkered floor. The queen's expression is calm, and the other figures in the painting seem to be looking at her with respect. The overall atmosphere of the painting is one of grandeur and dignity. This painting is a great example of the work of Vardges Sureniants.
