This painting shows a simple house with a slanted roof in a field. The sky is pale blue with a few clouds, and the grass is green with patches of yellow. Trees with orange leaves stand on the sides, and a small body of water reflects the colors. The artist used only six colors but layered them to create depth. The brushstrokes are loose, almost sketchy, giving it a quick, natural feel. Want to see how artists made prints like this? Look up lithography.
