Guy Little Theatrical Photograph is a 1890 photographic by Window & Grove, a Impressionism work, held at Victoria and Albert Museum.
This photograph shows Ellen Terry as Lucy Ashton in Ravenswood, Lyceum Theatre, 1890. The photo is part of the Guy Little Collection. Photography was new and exciting back then. Actors and actresses had photos taken for 'cartes de visite' and 'cabinet cards'. These were small prints on card backing. A sepia photograph from 1890 depicts Ellen Terry in her role as Lucy Ashton in *Ravenswood* at the Lyceum Theatre. Produced by Window & Grove as part of the Guy Little Collection, the image is an albumen print mounted on card, typical of Victorian theatrical portraits known as *cartes de visite* or *cabinet cards*. The photograph was later removed from its original backing and included in an album assembled by collector Guy Tristram Little, whose bequeathed theatrical photographs now reside in the V&A’s Theatre Collections.
