The Match between the Sophs and Freshmen is a 1857 by Winslow Homer, a Impressionism work, held at Cleveland Museum of Art.
This image shows four black-and-white scenes from a newspaper. The top half has two groups of men playing a rough game of soccer on a grassy field. One group wears dark suits, the other lighter ones. The bottom half shows men inside, arguing and playing cards at tables. Some look angry, others bored. The scenes are drawn in a simple, sketchy style—no fancy details, just quick lines.
