Nathaniel Rogers (1787-1844) was an American miniature painter, born at Bridgehampton on Long Island, New York. After a leg injury ended his apprenticeship in shipbuilding, he taught himself to draw and then studied in New York City under the portrait and miniature painter Joseph Wood. Working in watercolor on ivory, he became one of the most sought-after miniaturists in the city between roughly 1811 and 1840.

In 1825 he was a founding member of the National Academy of Design. He spent his later years on Long Island.
