Morning Ride on the Beach is held in the collection of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, specifically located in hall 1.18. The work entered the museum's holdings as a loan from Charles Drucker in 1927 and was formally bequeathed by Drucker and his wife, Maria Lydia Drucker-Fraser, following their deaths in 1944; this legacy was legally finalized in 1947. Prior to museum acquisition, the painting passed through the collections of James Staats Forbes and dealer Abraham Pleyer.
The artwork has featured in several exhibitions, including A century apart: 350 nineteenth-century paintings from the Rijksmuseum and Les Hollandais à Paris 1789-1914 at the Petit Palais in 2018. More recently, it was displayed in Clouds and Light: Impressionism in Holland at the Museum Barberini in Potsdam between July and October 2023.
