Un service d'ami is a 1845 ink by Honoré Daumier, a Romanticism work, held at National Gallery of Art.
You see a teacher sitting at a desk, reading a book, while students do different things around him. The students are not paying attention to the teacher. They are doing their own things. This is funny because it shows what can happen in a classroom when the teacher is not paying attention. This scene is similar to work done using the technique: lithography.
Honoré-Victorin Daumier was a French painter, sculptor, and printmaker, whose many works offer commentary on the social and political life in France, from the Revolution of 1830 to the fall of the Second French Empire in 1870.
