Guy Little Theatrical Photograph is a 19th-century photo by De Vere. It shows Jolly John Nash, a music hall star who sang “laughing songs” at the Oxford and Strand halls. Nash became famous for tunes like “How They Laugh” and “Laughing Gas,” selling lots of small visiting cards to fans in the 1860s–70s. Check out the Victoria and Albert Museum.
