Noli Me Tangere is a 1862 watercolor by Edward Kaiser, a Impressionism work, held at Victoria and Albert Museum.
This painting, titled "Noli Me Tangere," depicts a serene scene of Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene in a landscape. Jesus, dressed in a white robe with a halo, is shown with his right arm outstretched, while Mary Magdalene, wearing a brown robe, kneels before him with her arms outstretched. The background features a blue sky with a few trees and a rocky hillside. In the upper right corner, two angels are shown, one holding a book and the other a staff. The overall mood of the painting is one of reverence and devotion. To learn more about the artist behind this piece, look up Edward Kaiser.
The watercolour depicts a mountain landscape where Mary Magdalene, dressed in red, kneels to the right of Christ in a white robe. To the left, two angels sit atop an empty tomb, while two smaller angels fly in the sky above. The work was created in 1862 as a copy for the Arundel Society and later acquired by a museum in 1995 from the National Gallery of London.
