This print shows a dark sky filled with strange, bat-like creatures flying in chaotic motion. One figure clings to the back of a larger beast, arms outstretched as if struggling to hold on. The wings are jagged and uneven, and the whole scene feels unsettling and dreamlike. The artist used a mix of sharp lines and shadowy tones to create this eerie effect. This technique is called drypoint, where the artist scratches directly into the printing plate. Next, check out the technique: drypoint to see how it works.
