Sendling is a 1818 ink by Wilhelm von Kobell, a Romanticism work, held at National Gallery of Art.
This sketch shows a quiet countryside scene with tall grass and a winding path. In the foreground, two men walk—one with a stick, the other holding a dog on a leash. A third person sits nearby, resting. Far off, a small town sits along a river, with a church steeple standing tall. The artist used fine lines to show texture in the grass and water, making it look almost real. The title says it’s called *Sendling*, and it was made in 1818.
