This print shows two riders on horseback walking along a dirt path beside a river. Tall trees and rocky cliffs line the scene, while a small village sits in the distance. The sky is light with wispy clouds, and the whole image is drawn in fine, detailed lines. The artist used a technique that lets them carve into a metal plate, then press paper onto it to create the lines. This method is called *etching*. Next, look up etching to see how it works.
