About

The Skagen Painters were a group of Scandinavian artists who gathered in the northernmost fishing village of Skagen, Denmark, from the late 1870s to the early 1900s. United by a shared interest in capturing the unique light and the lives of local fishermen, the circle included prominent figures such as P.S. Krøyer, Michael and Anna Ancher, and Laurits Tuxen.
