This is a black-and-white engraving of a busy square with grand buildings. In the center stands a large fountain with statues and water spouts. Around it, people walk, ride horses, and chat while carriages move through the open space. The buildings have tall columns, domes, and detailed facades, and the sky above is lightly sketched with clouds. The title at the bottom names this the *Prospectus Fori Agonalis*—that’s the ancient name for the square, now called Piazza Navona. The artist labeled it in 1666, so this is how it looked over 350 years ago. Next, check out the Baroque movement to see how drama and movement shaped this era’s art.
