This painting shows five people inside a dim, wooden room with rough walls and a thatched roof. One man in green plays a violin while others sit or stand around him—some talking, one holding a jug. The floor is uneven with rocks, and a hat and a few small objects lie scattered nearby. The lighting is low, making shadows deep and faces half-lit. The artist used dark tones to focus on the musicians, making them stand out against the gloomy background.
