John Sitgreaves is a 1798 ink by Charles Balthazar Julien Févret de Saint-Mémin, a Romanticism work, held at National Gallery of Art.
This print shows John Sitgreaves in a dark coat. His face is lit from the side, half in light, half in shadow. The background is plain, just a flat tone. Measures 8 by 6 inches, small enough to hold. Notice the fine lines: cross-hatching gives smooth shading. Saint-Memin used a copper plate, then inked and pressed it onto paper. Look for the Corcoran stamp in the corner.
